The Mind Body Connection What would it mean if the thoughtswe have when we start our day actually affect what happenswithout our having to do anything about it? What if allthoughts, conscious or not, influence the world? Would we startthe day yelling at our children? Dashing out the door? Makingto do lists? How would it change our lives? We are learning, from quantum physics, neurosciences andconsciousness studies remarkable connections between mind andbody. Thoughts, or the way you decide to think, has a dramaticeffect on your body chemistry and on your physiology. For everythought you have, a physiological event occurs in unison withthat thought. Your physiology determines your energy and actionlevel. If your internal self-talk is negative, then thephysiology that simultaneously occurs will be just as negativeresulting in suppressed energy and action. You are mentally andphysically programming yourself to go through life in aparticular way. The same is true with positive thoughts. Whenyou think positive, happy thoughts, there’s actually a differentchemistry that goes into your body than when you thinkdepressing, negative, anguished thoughts. Since you can only hold one thought at a time, if you thinkabout what you want and how to get it, and then take the stepsthat come to your mind, eventually you wont have time to thinkabout all of your problems. Pretty soon it becomes habit. Youdevelop a series of neuro-connections in your brain that make iteasy and automatic for you to focus on what you want. Once itbecomes a habit, your whole life starts to move faster andfaster towards creating what you want. You may recall the old saying, If you think you can or thinkyou cannot, you are probably right. The mind is so powerfulthat it will create what you believe is true or possible. Infact, the mind is such a powerful instrument, it can deliver toyou literally everything you want. But you have to believe thatwhat you want is possible. You also have to believe that you arecapable of making it happen…Whether you call it self-esteem,self-confidence or self-assurance, it is a deep-seated beliefthat you have what it takes-the abilities, inner resources, talents and skills to create your desired results.Quantum Physics Experiment- Why Vizualization and PositiveThinking are Powerful Nuero scientists have done experimentswith the brain measuring what part of the brain becomes activewhen we are looking at an object versus visualizing the object.Theyre conclusions are amazing. Dr. Joe Dispenza explains inthe movie, What the Bleep Do We Know! an experiment where theyhad a person view an object as the scientists measured theelectrical pulses in a certain area of the brain that were litup. They then asked the person to close their eyes and visualizethe object they had just look at. The same exact areas of thebrain lit up with electrical pulses which gives a very startlingfinding. The brain can not tell the difference between what youare seeing and what you are visualizing. This finding explainswhy you can think about something in the past and get veryemotional about it- almost like it is happening at the moment. It also explains why visualization and positive thinking are sopowerful. Just think about itSelf-Esteem- The Fundamental Power of Your Life Why am I writingabout Self-Esteem in this book? The more clients I see, the moreI realize that the quality of your life comes from yourself-esteemand it determines the actions you will take in life. You see, how you feel about yourself extends to every area ofyour life- your relationships, your career, what you do, how youspeak, even how you dress. Just think about it for a moment.Your self-esteem, or opinion of yourself, is basically what willeventually make or break you in life. Our beliefs aboutourselves are the most telling factors in determining the levelof success and happiness in life. One of the most consistent messages in any self-developmentseminar or book is that the way you speak to yourself willeventually decide how well you go in life. Every negativethought is an inhibitor- it keeps you clogged up just likecolesterol clogs up an artery. When you are filled withnegativity, you are kept from attaining higher levels ofhappiness and fulfillment.By controlling your self-talk, you decide how you want to viewlife. What happens in life happens and you cant change that. Ilove the quote We cant control the direction of the wind, butwe can adjust our sails. In other words, we can adjust ourattitude and thoughts to look at lifes events and deal withthem is in a positive and constructive manner. Now the goodnews: with every every single setback or difficulty or lifetest you gain a lesson. So instead of becoming upset aboutwhat happened, you simply focus on the lesson, and the potentialgain. And the very seeking of the lesson makes you more positiveand focused person. One of Napoleon Hills, author of Think andGrow Rich, key principles is that in every problem or setback, there is the seed of an equal or greater benefit or advantage. We all move in the direction of our current thoughts, so whereyou are is no accident. Words trigger pictures in your mind, which then trigger emotions, which in turn decide how you feelon a given day. Which words do you find yourself using often? This is a very important issue- how you talk about things reallydoes have a HUGE impact on how you feel. If you keep affirminggood opinions of yourself as part of your daily routine, youwill start to see a shift in your attitude to a more positiveand energized style. The opposite also applies, if you let yourthoughts drift to negativity, which zaps your energy andself-confidence and motivation, than before you know it you willbe down in the dumps and feeling depressed. Make a commitmentnow to start speaking with upbeat, energize words when havingconversations with friends, family and co-workers.You also have a responsibility to develop other peoplesself-esteem and worth.Being FREE to Live your Life the Way YOU Want it So many peoplefeel like they have to live up to their familys expectationsand those around them. Make a commitment to yourself to NOT liveyour life around the approval of other people. Respect your lifeso much so that you are strong enough NOT TO NEED the approvalof other people. Dr. Wayne Dyer says You can’t go around beingwhat everyone else expects you to be, living your life throughother people’s rules, and also be happy and have inner peace. The the ultimate decision in life is simply to make yourdecisions and live your life as you want to live it, withoutinfringing on the rights of others. What others think about youand what they think about your decisions may challenge you. However, the final decisions are your own and you shape yourlife either by decisions you make or those you do not make.Excert from Persoal Growth Strategies by Michelle Rowleyhttp://www-personal-growth-strategies.com

That’s right! Many webmasters are getting suckered into joiningadsense in hopes of earning quick cash. What they aren’t beingtold is that it’s harder than that.Though google adsense is still one of the best programs outthere to earn revenue from your site, there is more to it thanthat. For example if you think you can just past the links inyour site content and watch the money flow in well… In truthfew people ever get that lucky some of have to work at it for awhile before we get our cash. One of the few mistakes peopleever make is thinking google adsense does all the work for you.Of course we all know that adsense has the most features outthere and that it is the best in customer support. Still thoughif you have a hard time getting clicks off your adsense account, you are not alone. Truth is even though most people may find theads relevent, many surfers out there have caught the anti-adbug. This is due to the fact that most ads on sites alwaysmisleed you. Everyone knows free hats, free ps2s, and just aboutfree everything. Wich in reality you won’t get the saidmaterials. So even though they see an ad they what to click theywill not click on thinking that it will mislead them. This is partly due to the fact that many ads are circling thenet with false promises. There exist no way to get past thisexcept fooling the users into thinking that the link is not anad but a link written by you. Though this is hard hence the adsby gooogle label that goes with every adsense advertisment. Butthat’s why most people get more clicks by blending their adswith their content. Though they the ads by google they believethe links are not misleading since the sites are part of yoursite. It’s like soldiers when they wear camo. They want to blend in asmuch as possible. Well try it and see what you get!

What to look for in an Internet dating site. With so many options, how do I know which is the best Internetdating site?Online dating has grown and grown to become one of the mostpopular activities on the Internet and because of this there arean increasing number of sites related to the subject. Whateveryour preference there’s a very good chance that there’s morethan one Internet dating site that caters for your needs. Petlovers have several sites where they can meet like-mindedindividuals who also love to share their house and their liveswith animals. A good Internet dating site for you might not be agood Internet dating site for somebody else, so the answer tothis question is entirely individual. The first decision when picking an Internet dating site. You should decide if there is one factor that is reallyimportant to you when looking for a potential date, and if youcan think of something then why not search the net for anInternet dating site that is geared around this fact.Realistically, one option for this is picking the country youlive in because while it might be fantastic to talk to someonefrom the other side of the world, it’s not realistic to arrangea first date.Audio and video feeds.Perhaps you want a little something extra from the Internetdating site you select. Some newer or recently updated sitesoffer both audio and visual instant messaging so you can chatand flirt with anyone you want and see their reactions. Ofcourse, the video option also means you can make sure that theylook exactly how they say they look giving you the peace of mindyou need to concentrate on trying out your best flirting methods. The Internet, and in particular an Internet dating site, meansthat you can talk to someone hundreds of miles away but stillfeel like you are only a few feet away. Video and audio feedsare an excellent addition to an Internet dating site becausethey not only offer you a little extra security but they alsogive you the opportunity to really get to know someone and bywatching their reactions you can ascertain exactly how they feelabout the things you say.A final word of warning when using an Internet dating site. It’s essential that you know the difference between flirting andteasing. Flirting is fun for both parties and is a seductive wayof attracting a potential partner but teasing can lead toundesired effects for both parties. When you visit an Internetdating site you have to make sure that you stick to flirting anddon’t cross the fine line into teasing.Read more articles @ www.askgrannydate.com

Why everyone loves Internet dating. An introduction to Internet dating. If you’ve surfed the Internet for longer than about two minutesthen you won’t have the missed the numerous Internet datingadverts that seem to be cropping up everywhere. Whether onpopups or ad banners, Internet dating is a huge phenomenon allaround the world and it’s not just in the minds of thewebmasters. There wouldn’t be so many Internet dating sites ifthere weren’t a demand for it; we’re going to point out the manypros there are to Internet dating and why so many people aretrying it and coming back for more over and over again.Reach across the world.A cursory glance around Internet dating sites will reveal thatyou’re much likely to be talking to someone from the other sideof the world than from your own town. How many pubs andrestaurants can offer such a wide variety of people who all havea similar goal on their mind? None, in fact, most places youvisit are crammed to the ceiling with couples and families, anypotential partners are either already involved or surrounded byhopefuls before they even make it through the door. WithInternet dating this is completely different. It’s true thatsome of the people that are on Internet dating sites may be inrelationships but most freely admit it and just want some chat.Inhibitions.How many of us actually have the nerve to walk up to a member ofthe opposite sex and start chatting them up without a secondthought? And how many of us have the nerve to do it sober?Internet dating removes any shyness and almost all inhibitionsand makes chatting to people much easier. You’ll often find someof the more outgoing personalities are the quietest in the ‘realworld’ but they don’t act it when they are Internet dating.Internet dating acts as a sort of mask that means we lose ourinhibitions. We’re not likely to ever see the people we aretalking to, so what is there to lose? Nothing. People go onInternet dating sites with one thing on their mind. To meetlike-minded people who want to chat and maybe find a little lovein their lives with the right person. They know that throughInternet dating the short list of potential partners very soonbecomes a long list of funny and intelligent people that areeasy to talk to; and there’s never a fear of recrimination. The bottom line on Internet dating. If there’s one perfect partner for every person in this world, who’s to say that they live five miles down the road and you’regoing to meet them when you next pop out for a pint of milk? It’s not that likely, but Internet dating stacks the oddscompletely in your favour.

If you are anything like me, you may have noticed a tremendousincrease in the number of coaches that have appeared recently.Traditionally, coaches existed primarily in the world of sports, but you could also find voice, acting and singing coaches.Today however, this has all changed. Lifestyle, relationship, personal development, business, soul, life, leadership, executive, career and countless other types of coaching are nowwidely available. So what can these coaches do for us?The dictionary defines the term coach as someone whoinstructs or trains others. From this definition, at least wecan draw a potential connection between the coaching professionand ourselves. So how do you know if you need a coach? Basically, if there areareas of your life which you would like to improve or enhance, the opportunity exists to employ a coach. The Dream TeamIn everyday life, we all employ specialists to perform variousfunctions because we have neither the skills nor knowledge to dothe job.You wouldnt consider attempting to fill a tooth if you had atoothache – you would go to your dentist. Would you completeyour own tax return if your objective was to minimize taxexposure – no, you would visit an accountant. If you werefeeling ill, you wouldnt (or at least shouldnt) self-medicate- you would contact your doctor. It all comes down to the fact that these professionals haveskills and knowledge that provide faster, better, safer and moresatisfying results than you could possibly achieve on your own.I refer to this group of people as a Dream Team a group ofprofessionals to help you achieve that which you want in theabove-mentioned cases, a nice smile, more disposable income andgood health. So why stop there? If there are other areas that you want tochange, the same principle applies. For example, if you had a desire to improve your levels ofhealth & fitness, you could join a gym. The problem is that thenovelty quickly wears off and, unless you are incrediblydisciplined, it is difficult to keep going on your own. There isalso the dilemma of not knowing which equipment to use or whichexercises to do. In fact, a real issue is not having specificgoals at all, which will leave you lost. The result? You stopgoing to the gym and your membership fee is wasted. Even worse, you will feel like a failure which in turn will lower yourlevels of self-esteem, negatively impacting many areas of yourlife. The solution? Get yourself a personal trainer! Make this personpart of your Dream Team. Your trainer (or coach) will help youdefine your goals, provide a specific program to follow and willalso give you moral support. This approach offers a much higherlikelihood of accomplishing your goals in this area, and at amuch faster rate.Other areas that most of us want to improve, include our keyrelationships, levels of success or financial freedom. Timemanagement and career counseling are other potential areas forimprovement. The problem is most of us dont know how toimprove or make things better in these areas. We have our ownways of handling things, which of course, has us where we arenow! Remember Einstein’s definition of insanity; “doing the samethings over and over and expecting different results!” If youdon’t want to qualify as being insane, then somethingmust change. The solution of course, is to change your approach, and thatcould mean finding someone that can help you in the specificarea you want to improve in other words, a coach, to becomepart of your Dream Team. But Whom Do I Choose? As in all professions, it is a fact that not all coaches arecreated equal! Not every coach will be a fit with every client. In order to select a coach, I would recommend spending some timeto identify your objectives, create some interview questionsfor potential coaches, define your budget and do some researchto compile a list of potential candidates. There are a number of coaching organizations and associations onthe web, that have lists of their coaches names, complete withbiographies, qualifications, areas of expertise and contactinformation. When interviewing your prospective coach, think in terms of howcomfortable you would feel working with the person. Are theysomeone to whom you would be comfortable sharing personalinformation? Do you like them? Do they seem to have an actionplan and strategy process that will help you achieve your goals? What is their fee and what can you expect for that level ofinvestment? Can you work with them? Is their interest andcommitment mainly around helping you or collecting their fees?Interview 3 5 candidates. Once you are comfortable, make aselection and get started! You will quickly be on the road toachieving your goals. Please note one thing; hiring a coach to help you improve thevarious areas of your life, requires commitment! The process is likely to take several months and you must beprepared to do the work that goes along with affecting changein your life. If you are not fully committed to the process, theresult will be frustration (for both of you) and failure, not tomention a bunch of money spent on nothing!Affecting meaningful change will take time. Old habits will needto be broken and new, supportive habits created. It took youyears to get where you are today, so it is unreasonable toexpect that accomplishment of your goals will occur in just afew weeks!Coaches are not miracle workers; they cannot do the work for youor wave a magic wand to make things easy. What your coachcan do is help you to define what it isspecifically that you want, work with you to develop strategicand tactical plans of action, provide guidance and moral supportin your quest and keep you accountable for following the plan. With commitment, dedication and a good coach, you will be amazedat what you can accomplish!

Once upon a time there was a farmer down in south Georgia whokept chickens. He didnt keep very many, in fact, he only keptfour or five hens and one very lucky rooster. They were a veryhappy little family of chickens, they lived in a nice coup thatmany envied, they had more than enough to eat and drink, andthey all enjoyed each others company immensely. And so it wasfor many, many years. One day the hens and rooster were standing about talking, andone of the hens noted just how fortunate they were to live insuch splendid conditions. She also noted that a very lonely oldbuzzard had recently spoken to her, and that she felt very sorryfor her. Why would you feel sorry for a withered, craggy oldshe-buzzard? one of the other hens asked.Because, the caring hen noted, shes a dried-up dismal oldthing, even her feathers and beak look like theyre dyed, andshe loves our coup more than anything in the world. She talksabout it all the time, in fact, I can just see in her eyes theimmense love she possesses for our home here. In fact, becauseof that, Ive been doing a lot of thinking. We have more thanenough to eat and drink, we have plenty of living space, therefore I think we should invite the lonely old buzzard tolive amongst us. Shell be happy and well have done a goodthing. Without giving it so much as a second thought, the hensand the rooster happily agreed to invite the buzzard to liveamongst them.Problems began the moment the shrewish old buzzard entered thepen. She immediately took a liking to the rooster, and he,abandoning all logic and reason, took a casual liking to her. They could be seen clucking and squawking away at almost allhours of the day or night, and they appeared to be becomingquite close. Naturally, this concerned all of the hens, but theywere never ones to interfere in each others lives, so they leftthe mismatched two to coo and wink at each other. This did notturn out to be the best way of handling the situation. Soon, theold buzzard began wanting more and more of the roosters time.He quickly started backing away, as he loved time with his hensand had no intention of giving up his friendships with any ofthem. He also disliked the fact that the old buzzard wouldsquawk about him and their personal business to anyone thatwould listen, especially the unusual bird that flew overheadfrom time to time, the mysterious left-winged Macaw. Finally, the rooster got so tired of her squawking that he totally lostinterest in the dyed up old buzzard, first he grew silent whenin her company, then he finally bid her to leave the pen.The wicked old buzzard got very upset at this, and immediatelyflew about the gilded coup, destroying everything that shepossibly could. She fouled the water so that none of thechickens could drink it, and she destroyed every nest that shepossibly could. Finally, with their patience at a collectiveend, the hens took charge and deposited the cranky oldshe-buzzard outside of the coup, and sealed it so that she couldnever return. The chickens had a very hard time restoring theircoup to its former status. Some things had to be tossed away, some were restored, and some are still being attended to as Iscribe the words of this story. And what happened to themiserable old buzzard? Well, she finally started up a littlenest of her own way down in the deep, dark woods, far, far awayfrom everyone. She never found another rooster, no hens wouldplay with her, and she found herself spending most all of hertime with two aged parrots and one puffed-up goonie bird. Theynow spend their lives squawking away endlessly in the deep woodswhere no one ever hears them, no one wants to hear them, and themost important item of discussion they endeavor each day is whatthe rooster and hens might be up to.The morals of this story? Really, theyre quite simple. If youwant happy, contented chickens, keep misery-ridden old buzzardsout of the hen house. If you want to stay a happy rooster, keepaway from old buzzards altogether. Just remember that the veryworst crap from the coup will always be far, far sweeter thananything a moldy old buzzard can lay before you…

Once a while you will receive volunteers who wants to work withyou. So how do you induct or even train them? When you have volunteers who are willing to help you with yourfundraising, you will need to explain to them what you expectfrom them and your current working group. Some volunteers havelittle or no work experience while others are professionals intheir field. Some volunteers did it for finding purpose in theirlives while some are just for the purpose of academicrequirements(you’ll be surprised!). In any case, you will haveto let them know how you want things to be done at yournon-profit group. In order to train your volunteers, you need to set aside sometime to show your new volunteers around the area or workspace ofyour non-profit (if you have such a space). Tell them what thegroup does and how the group got started. Allow your newvolunteers to ask questions and be sure to give them yourfundraising plan so that they can see how they fit into yourworking group’s effort. Also, show them any specific tasks thatneed to be done (operating a cash register, for example, orwriting out a tax receipt properly) in order for them to dotheir volunteer work well. It is OK to go into details or if ittakes up a chunk of your time on their first day: It does helpin the long-run.One thing to NOTE: YOUR VOLUNTEERS ARE LIKE YOUR DONORS – theyare people who offer their services to you at no charge. It isinsensitive and often ineffective to treat them as employees:They are NOT PAID by you, in fact they “pay” you with theirtime. You should be happy that there are people willing to helpyou with no money as a reward. Of course, we may get volunteerswho have attitude problems but appreciate them because theyoffer their help. You should also try to give your volunteers some value for theirexperience – either by offering them work experience or a trulyfriendly atmosphere or some other perk. You should, once awhile, show your apprieciation to the volunteers and yourworking group.Remember: To many, time is MORE valuable than even money. Yourvolunteers are offering you a valuable resource by offering youtheir time. DO NOT squander this gift or take it for granted.Above all, keep lines of communication with your volunteersopen. A team attitude can go a long way. If your workers feelcomfortable talking to you, they will be happy to let you knowwhat you need to know in order to organize your work force mostefficiently.

Have you ever heard the old saying, Dont Shoot the Messenger? So many times we have a tendency to react to people when theyhave the unfortunate job of bringing bad news.Let me paint a picture for you! Quite some time ago I was at aLexus dealership where I worked as a technician for severalyears. We had just moved all of our mechanical equipment into abrand new, state-of-the-art repair shop building. A couple ofmonths later, we received word that they were going to paint thefloor of our new shop at the end of the week. When we got to work that Friday we spent all day moving heavyequipment, auto parts, tools, etc. out of the shop so thepainters could come in and paint. We worked on this all morningand straight through to the afternoon. None of us stopped forlunch, because we knew that when we were done, we would be ableto go home for the rest of the day. Well about 10 minutes afterwe finished, our boss walked out and said, The painters calledand said that the moisture content in the floor is too high, andthey wont be able to paint. Move everything back into theshop. Now, here is one of those situations in life where Icould either respond reactively, or proactively.Suppose I had responded reactively and I had start yelling, cursing and going on about what a rip-off it was. What if I hadreally let my boss have it? What do you think would happen?Well, first off all, he was my boss, so he could have fired me.Even if that didn’t happen, he would, probably. have reacted inthe same way I had. That would have caused a big fight thatwould have resulted in hurt feelings and damaged relationships. You know what else? After all that, the floor still wouldnt getpainted! All the equipment would STILL need to be moved back. You see, here at Front Porch Attitude, we believe there is abetter, or HIGHER, way to respond to the things life brings ourway. We believe that it is possible to stay cool, calm andcollected! We believe that you should keep your head up andenjoy life no matter what it tosses our way. How do we know itspossible? Because of the story I just told you. Because of theway I responded to the situation. While other employees werecussing, screaming, ranting and raving, I was enjoying life andI was living life as it was meant to be lived! Was I happy thatI had to move all the equipment back again? Of course not! But Iunderstood that all of that was out of my control. What WAS inmy control, however, was how I treated the messenger. Norelationships were hurt! No feelings were crushed! No fightensued! When you are faced with similar situations in life and you aretempted to respond reactively, just remember to do these threethings:Stop and look at the situation from the others person’s point ofview. Its possible that, if you were that other person, youjust might have done the same thing that they did!Remember, the messenger just delivered the message! He is notnecessarily the one who created it!Take the Higher Road. Sometimes, even though you have everyright to be upset. DON’T! You are better than that.
